3D Animator Specializing in Surreal and Hyper-Realistic Videos

Job Title: 3D Animator

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contracted/Part Time

We are looking for a 3D Animator to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a knack for creating humorous and surreal, hyper-realistic videos that captivate and engage audiences. If you have experience in crafting eye-catching animations similar to those seen in these videos, showcasing unique elements like characters, exaggerated facial expressions, and humorous/fantastical interactions, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and animate high-quality 3D scenes.
• Transform detailed scene descriptions into animations
• Complete a 25-30 second animation (with 2-3 scenes each), to be posted every other day (15 videos per month).

Requirements:

• Proficient in 3D animation software such as Maya, Blender, or Cinema 4D.
• At least 3 years of experience in 3D animation, particularly in creating hyper-realistic and surreal content.
• Strong understanding of motion, weight, balance, texture, form, and color.
• Experience in rigging and skinning complex 3D models.
• Excellent attention to detail and a creative thinker with a vision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• A portfolio showcasing previous work that emphasizes unique artistic animations, preferably similar to the style seen in these videos.

Nice to Have:

• A strong sense of narrative, humor, and timing, especially in the context of short-form social media content.

• Strong understanding of 2D compositing and 3D computer-generated imagery
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in computer animation, multimedia studies, or related field (or equivalent experience)
