3D Animator Specializing in Surreal and Hyper-Realistic Videos

Job Title: 3D Animator

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contracted/Part Time

We are looking for a 3D Animator to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a knack for creating humorous and surreal, hyper-realistic videos that captivate and engage audiences. If you have experience in crafting eye-catching animations similar to those seen in these videos, showcasing unique elements like characters, exaggerated facial expressions, and humorous/fantastical interactions, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and animate high-quality 3D scenes.
• Transform detailed scene descriptions into animations
• Complete a 25-30 second animation (with 2-3 scenes each), to be posted every other day (15 videos per month).

Requirements:

• Proficient in 3D animation software such as Maya, Blender, or Cinema 4D.
• At least 3 years of experience in 3D animation, particularly in creating hyper-realistic and surreal content.
• Strong understanding of motion, weight, balance, texture, form, and color.
• Experience in rigging and skinning complex 3D models.
• Excellent attention to detail and a creative thinker with a vision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• A portfolio showcasing previous work that emphasizes unique artistic animations, preferably similar to the style seen in these videos.

Compensation:

Pictelate is a social media marketing company that creates entertaining graphic design-based video content on social media. We focus on creating advertising for brands that people actually enjoy watching, as well as content for the Pictelate brand that allows us to build an audience.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer/Photoshop Artist with exceptional skills in Adobe Photoshop (including generative fill AI, image manipulation, compositing, retouching, etc.) to join our creative team. If you're passionate about using design and imagery to tell a story, we want you on board! The ideal candidate will be able to brainstorm novel and unique ideas, and will have a sense of humor that matches Pictelate’s style and audience preferences. We have a fast-paced, collaborative environment that allows for flexibility in the creative process. Remote work environment, flexible hours. Contracted part-time position paid per video/work product. Potential for salary growth. Bonus opportunity available

Responsibilities:

- Work with a team to develop concepts and designs. Brainstorm and conceptualize design ideas that will make for entertaining/humorous video content

- Assist editors and designers as a content creator including video creation by documenting (screen record) the process of creating Photoshop art, primarily using Photoshop’s generative fill tool

- Create unique images based on concepts given to you

- Monitor and spot social media trends and create content based on trends

- Deliver great products on schedule. 

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Photoshop Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing Photoshop expertise and creative design solutions.

- Experience with Adobe Firefly and Photoshop’s generative fill tool.

- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred but not required.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
